KIOSC
Scoresby Secondary College has a close partnership with the Knox Innovation, Opportunity and Sustainability Centre (KIOSC) which aims to inspire and empower students to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours that will equip them for their future careers. KIOSC is a joint initiative with Swinburne University.
Students in junior levels travel to the KIOSC campus twice a year to undertake practical learning experiences in the areas of sustainability and ‘green’ living. These programs provide a window into the world of work linking a broad range of pathways in science, maths, technology, social sciences and humanities, and use the high technology platforms provided by KIOSC.
Senior students at Scoresby Secondary use KIOSC’s high quality technology equipment to enhance their learning.
Senior students can choose a number of VET certificates including Laboratory Skills and Engineering (Megatronics). Through innovative learning experiences and strong connections with industry, KIOSC opens students’ eyes to the practical applications of classroom learning and the real world careers they lead to.
