Doctors in School (DIS) Program

Scoresby Secondary College one of the few fortunate schools across Victoria who have a Doctors in Schools (DIS) program.  The GP in the college will provide students with the same services as the kind normally provided by GPs in the community.

The right for a young person’s health information to be kept confidential will be respected unless the disclosure is with the consent of the young person or it is otherwise permitted by law – as is the case with all GP practice in the community.  GPs may also make referrals to other health services as required.

The GP will bulk bill consultations through Medicare, so there will be no out-of-pocket expenses for this service for your family. Any student over the age of 15 can self-refer to the clinic, those under that age, require parental approval.
